Anne Brooke, who has just received a Commendation in The Poetry Society's National Poetry Competition, was also overall winner of the David St John Thomas Open Poetry Awards 2003. Alison Chisholm, one of the judges said of Anne's work: "Fascinating image-rich interpretation." We at Infinity Junction agree with that and recommend Anne's own challenge to readers:
'Discover where the dark tide takes you.' 'Tidal' has already gained critical acclaim from poet, Myra Schneider, who says: "I've just been reading 'Winter Oranges' and 'Birds' which I like very much," and from David Caddy, Editor of 'Tears in the Fence' poetry magazine, who says: "Thank you for sending a copy of Tidal. I have enjoyed reading the poems. Some fine lines and observations. Congratulations on its publication." Tidal contains 44 pleasingly readable poems in a glossy paperback of ±56 pages. A bargain at only £4 plus p&p. Anne's profits are donated to St Peter's Church, Hascombe. | ![]() |
